| 05 Nov 2008 | Todd Adams | Link Calendar items to Projects Thanks Ian. I had seen those settings before but forgot about them because they are still listed as "Experimental... do not enable..." However, seems to be working fine. |
| 05 Nov 2008 | ian armstrong | Add the ability to drag and drop an email to an existing Project or Action Hi Maurice, If you have eProductivity open to the 'E-Mail' view you will see 3 main frames: 1. 'eProductivity' to the left 2. Your main E-Mail Inbox in the middle 3. 'E-Mail Folders' to the right (you may need to expand this frame if you have your preferences set to have it collapsed' In that right-hand frame you will see 2 options, 'Link to Project' and 'Link to Action'. Dragging and dropping an email onto either of those items will enable you to select which project/action you would like the email linked to. Regards, Ian Armstrong eProductivity Product Development |
| 05 Nov 2008 | ian armstrong | Link Calendar items to Projects Hi Todd, Many thanks for your idea. Actually, we currently have this functionality. You may need to enable it in the 'eProductivity\Preferences...\General\Calendar' tab. If you enable those couple of setting in the preferences you will be able to link calendar entries to projects/actions and vice-versa as we add the action-bar buttons to enable you to do that. Hope that helps. Regards, Ian Armstrong eProductivity Product Development |
| 21 Oct 2008 | Michael Schneider | Link URLs to Projects/Actions Hi Maurice, If you put a website address (ie www.google.com) in the Project or Action title, then when you select the respective action or project (don't open it), you should see a button in the eProductivity action bar that says "Open Web Site" Clicking on this button will open the website that is listed in the action or project title. |
| 21 Oct 2008 | Maurice del Prado | Clean up and Consollidation of this new community I'll second Ian's being impressed with Jamie's comments. I'll add / re-inforce the point that I am not sure where to put feedback and/or ideas and/or bugs I find --- via eP feedback, here, or in Forums. |
| 21 Oct 2008 | Maurice del Prado | Mark Project (Project name here) Complete and mark all linked items complete AND create a new memo I love this idea, Jamie. I've had similar ideas / wishes when I've completed projects |
| 21 Oct 2008 | Maurice del Prado | Link URLs to Projects/Actions Michael, I like your idea. One thing that's annoying to me about Notes is the lack of a simple way to put a hotspot / link into a document. You wrote... "Currently, if you put an URL in an Action or Project description field, eProductivity will enable a button to Open the Web Site." I tried that and did not get any sort of button. Can you elaborate? |
| 19 Oct 2008 | ian armstrong | Clean up and Consollidation of this new community Hi Jamie, WOW. I think that is the most comprehensive post we have ever had on this jam. Thanks! As I am a man of few words I will keep this brief. Myself and Eric have it on our radars to really try and integrate all lines of communication/communities in the eProductivity space. We now realise that we need to offer users a one-stop shop where they can really be productive. Skipping to various sites is not going to cut it. So, I would say, leave this with us for a wee while and we will really try and clean this up. Regards, Ian Armstrong eProductivity Product Development |
| 18 Oct 2008 | Maurice del Prado | Threaded Discussion View - restricted to inbox Stephan, agreed. The R8 implementation is actually helpful. I've used it a little bit since moving to the R8 mail template. I was still trying to figure out how best to use it, when I switched to eP, which means, in my humble opinion, that is wasn't all the great. But having some way to view threaded discussions is important. |
| 18 Oct 2008 | Maurice del Prado | Easily lnk an email to a project or action that has just been sent. Stephan, I like your idea! Maralyn, I've had the same thought as I've started playing with eP (just about 1 week now since I installed it) I want to be able to link an email to an existing project or action from any view. Sometimes an e-mail is just a reference associated with a project or action and it is not actionable itself. |
| 18 Oct 2008 | Maurice del Prado | Revert to original notes order when filing a sent document Dan, I thought I was going crazy too! But, yes, I notice the same thing. And it too is driving me nuts! LOL -- we are all such creatures of habit. Our neural pathways get conditioned to things and then, if something changes, we freak out! FYI. Ian Armstrong of eP support explained to my that the eP template was built on Notes Mail Template version 6.x (eek!). So, yes, a lot of our nifty Notes template 8.x things are not available. Ian did say that an update to the Notes Mail Template R8 is in the plans for eP. |
| 18 Oct 2008 | Maurice del Prado | Add the ability to drag and drop an email to an existing Project or Action Ian, Perhaps I am the only one, but I do not understand your response. I understand why Maralyn is suggesting and this it is a good idea. But I cannot make your suggested action work. Please advise. |
| 18 Oct 2008 | Maurice del Prado | Add ability to sort by project when linking an email to an existing action Jake, I'll second this request. In fact, it would be great to have the ability to sort on all fields. |
| 03 Oct 2008 | ian armstrong | Add the ability to drag and drop an email to an existing Project or Action Hi Maralyn, Thanks for the idea. You can already do this :) Simply select the email and drag/drop it to the 'E-Mail Folders' pane on the right hand side of the screen. The two options 'Link to Project' and 'Link to Action' are what you use to link to existing items. Hope this helps. Regards, Ian Armstrong eProductivity Product Development |
| 02 Oct 2008 | ian armstrong | Add "File--> Move to Archive" to "All Documents" View Hi Mathias, Thanks for the idea. I have added this feature to the all 'documents' view as requested. It will be available in the next release. Regards, Ian eProductivity Product Development |
| 25 Sep 2008 | Stephan Wissel | Merge Copy Into and Quick Capture That's what I'm saying: - Copy into is used when copying an email to a project, action or calendar entry. Quick capture is used when copying an email into a journal entry. So it is the same action - transforming an email into something else, so it would better be merged. However Business users might prove me wrong if their mental model is different. |
| 24 Sep 2008 | Maralyn Annashée | Drag&Drop actions from Actions by Context view I tried this and was able to drag an Action from the Actions by Context from "Agenda" to "Errands" and it worked for me. I was then able to move to the "Errands" view and drag back to the "Agenda" view. |
| 24 Sep 2008 | Maralyn Annashée | Merge Copy Into and Quick Capture Stephan, When do you use the "Copy into" and "Quick Capature" buttons. I haven't figured out exactly when to use them. It is not intuitive for me. |
| 24 Sep 2008 | Maralyn Annashée | Easily lnk an email to a project or action that has just been sent. So that it is not necessary to go to the "Sent" View to do this. What about having an option like "Link to...a message in the Sent View" |
| 23 Sep 2008 | Daniel Latimore | Revert to original notes order when filing a sent document Stephan, Thanks. But...I've got R8 of Notes, and the eProductivity template seemed to revert me to an R7 look and feel. Did I install the wrong template (I upgraded to R8 after I first submitted my request to be in the beta trial). -Dan |
